Timeline of Events

1: Assault (25th July 2014)

Caerwyn Ash’s first encounter with South Wales police was the life changing assault by Emma Calved on the 25th July 2014, reported to PC Smith (SWP 5097), who found Caerwyn Ash in a pool of blood in his 33 Kilvey terrace home.

Two police officers stood over Caerwyn Ash adjacent to two paramedics who had just arrived. The first words from PC Smith was “what did you do to her” while laughing.

The Caerwyn Ash spent the night in hospital receiving rhinoplasty surgery to correct damaged nasal cartilage.

PC Smith and colleague were given Emma Calved’s mobile Phone number and the address in Newport where she was heading (17 Goodrich Crescent, Newport, NP20 5PE). PC Smiths colleague called Emma Calved whilst she was driving away from the scene. PC Smith (SWP 5097) refused to investigate as its one person’s word against another and it’s just too much paperwork.

The paramedics made a comment that is ingrained in my memory when in the back of the ambulance “the police don’t get involved unless it’s a women being hit

[Offences against the Person Act, (1861), S20, S47]

At the time I didn’t feel anything, I was in shock and nauseous from regaining consciousness. The paramedics were kind and, the two police officers did not give a fuck just had a laugh at my expense. Only after getting home from the hospital did I realises the unprofessional conduct of the officers I can only image that if I was female in a dress covered in blood they probably would have taken the assault seriously. Had these two officers investigated Emma Calved would not have been able to travel from Newport to Swansea and removed high valued items from Caerwyn Ash’s House with the intent to blackmail.

These photos were taken by paramedics as PC Smith (SWP 5097) and his colleague refused to investigate the assault by Emma Calved resulting in a broken nose and losing consciousness.

Later I had to contend to the fact the PC Smith lied to the PSD and IOPC by stating that Caerwyn Ash was uncooperative and refused to be photographed, clearly this is dishonest.

2. 26-27th July 2014 – Theft and Blackmail

Whilst undergoing further rhinoplasty surgery on the 26th and 27th July 2014, Emma Calved travelled from Newport, Gwent to Swansea and unlawfully entered the Caerwyn Ash’s house using a key held with a neighbour and stole over one million euros of equipment and human data.

Emma Calved then sent messages to Caerwyn Ash threatening to smash the equipment with a hammer if he reports the assault.

Caerwyn Ash reported this immediately to PC Whomes (SWP 5437) who was more given the receipts of ownership of the items and shown mortgage deeds in Caerwyn Ash’s name. PC Whomes (SWP 5437) was shown and sent copies of the threatening messages and the photos of the assault that occurred on the 25th July 2014. PC Whomes (SWP 5437) was told that the data was owned by L’Oreal, Paris and Dezac Ltd and contained human data for clinical studies.

Section 9 of the [Theft Act, (1968)] states …

A person is guilty of burglary if having entered any building or part of a building as a trespasser they steal or attempts to steal anything in that building or that part of it or inflicts or attempts to inflict on any person therein any grievous bodily harm.

Over a decade later this has still not been resolved. The theft of high valued items on the 26th or 27th July 2014 was a premeditated act to protect herself from the horrific assault on the 25th July 2014 travelling from Newport to Swansea and unlawfully entered Caerwyn Ash’s house.

Among the items stolen by Emma Calved was …

  • Toshiba laptop and hard drives
  • Loreal laptop and hard drive
  • £1000+ cash
  • 3 boutique bottles of whisky
  • iPads

PC Whomes (SWP 5437) was more concerned about the start of his week of annual leave and that this visit to Caerwyn Ash house was the last of his shift, then the assault on a male or the deliberate theft and blackmail by Emma Calved on the 25th July 2014.

PC Whomes (SWP 5437) insisted I go to Swansea Central and report the assault separately as he was too busy dealing with the theft. That afternoon I entered Swansea central police station and reported the assault with printed photos of the assault (3).

A week later Caerwyn Ash walked Past PC Whomes (SWP 5437) sat alone in a police car on Pentreguinea road and asked about an update on the stolen items. He stated that as Emma Calved lived in Newport, Gwent police officers are tasked with retrieving the items.

3. 26th - 27th July 2014 – Blackmail of Threat to Damage Stolen Items

On the afternoon of the 26th-27th July 2014, I arrived at my house at 33 Kilvey terrace, St Thomas, Swansea, SA187BA from Singleton Hospital. I received text messages from Emma Calved who had travelled from Newport to Swansea, entered the house that I own in my name and removed high valued items. The threats made by text message to destroy the items that included human data owned by L’Oreal, Paris for which I was being paid for.

Emma Calved has held threats on Caerwyn Ash for years, this caused trauma by the dilemma of reporting or not reporting the threats to PC Whomes (SWP 5437) of South Wales police force. I put my trust in South Wales police to deal with this criminal behaviour.

10 years later these items have not been recovered causing psychological and financial trauma.

4. 27th July 2014 - Report Assault at Swansea Central Police Station

When PC Whomes (SWP 5437) arrived alone at 33 Kilvey Terrace, Swansea on the afternoon of the 27th July 2014, he was more distracted about the start of his week of annual leave and that this visit to Caerwyn Ash house was the last of his shift. There was no urgency regarding the photographed and reported assault by Emma Calved on the 25th July 2014 or the theft and blackmail of high valued items he just wanted to finish his shift.

PC Whomes said that the assault needs to be reported separately as he can only focus on the theft. PC Whomes recommended that the locks be changed as soon as possible. The locks were changed the following day [page 9000] by Mr Locks.

On the afternoon of the 27th July 2014, Caerwyn Ash walked into Swansea central police station with printed photographs taken by the paramedics on the 25th July 2014. I can remember these minutes with exceptional detail.

I rang the bell for attention and was greeted by a woman in her late 40s, greying hair, overweight and miserable demeanour. I explained that I was in hospital after being assaulted by my girlfriend on the 25th July and just met a police officer at my house who was dealing with the theft of high valued items whilst I was in hospital. The desk officer’s response was “what do you want me to do about it!

5. 28th July 2014 – Emma Called Gwent Police

Emma Calved called the police and asked if a formal complaint had been made.

Police Staff Giess (GWP 55951) replied that Caerwyn Ash had been uncooperative and no details taken.

Police Staff Giess (GWP 55951) gave incorrect, unprofessional, wholly erroneous information as Caerwyn Ash had given PC Smith (SWP 5097) Emma Calved phone number and address in Newport on the 25th July 2014 and PC Smiths colleague had called Emma Calved as she was driving to Newport. Then when Caerwyn Ash got back from the hospital, to find that Emma Calved had travelled from Newport to Swansea, stole the equipment needed to complete by work for L’Oreal containing human data, and sent test messages threatening to smash the equipment with a hammer if he reported the assault.

Caerwyn Ash reported the theft and blackmail to PC Whomes (SWP 5437) on the 26th-27th July 2014 and therefore logged on the police system. On the advice of PC Whomes (SWP 5437) Caerwyn Ash walked into Swansea central police station on the 27th July 2014 and reported the assault with photographs of the assault and therefore logged on the police system.

This action by PS Giess (GWP 55951) given Emma Calved complete impunity to keep offending knowing that South Wales police don’t investigate reports by a male of an assault, theft and blackmail from a female against a male.

6. August 2014 – Blackmail for Household Goods

Emma Calved further threatened to destroy the L’Oreal laptop if Caerwyn Ash did not give Emma Calved money and all the white goods from his house, threatening to stop all contact with his children.

Despite reporting the unlawful entry to PC Whomes (SWP 5437) on the 27th July 2014, PC Whomes was given this new text message and email communication but failed in his duty to act.

Caerwyn Ash capitulated to Emma Calved’s demands as he always did so that he had contact with his children and it was clear that South Wales police were inept at resolving serious life changing offences.

This evidence was given to PC Rhys Williams (SWP 5963) on the 16th May 2018 at Morriston police station. PC Rhys Williams (SWP 5963) was given these blackmailing messages on the 16th May 2018 so he knew Emma Calved was still in possession of the laptop and hard drive. As per PC Rhys Williams courtroom testimony, he shared this information with PC Laura Murphy (GWP 1794) and the messages of false impersonation of minors on the 12th May 2018.

[Theft Act, (1968), Section 21]

[Malicious Communication Act, (1988)]

6.1 November 2014 – New L’Oreal laptop

Months after the assault, Theft and blackmail, Caerwyn Ash was living in an empty house, without money and was forced to travel to Paris to collect a replacement laptop and hardrive from L’Oreal to complete the analysis of a high valued study of human data.

This was as a direct result of south wales police officer PC Whomes (SWP 5437) failure to investigate and recover the stolen items in South Wales police jurisdiction and prevent Emma Calved from further blackmail.

7. 12th August 2015 – Phone Calls to Employer

In May 2015, Caerwyn Ash was appointed Professor of Medical Devices. On the 12th August 2015 Caerwyn Ash was notified that the Human Resource department of his university employer that they had reserved abusing phone call from Emma Calved that had been put through the university switchboard.

Caerwyn Ash attended Swansea Central police station that afternoon and gave PC Ball (SWP 4639) a formal letter [pages 90049005] of the event that caused emotional distress from the abusive phone calls at Caerwyn Ash’s workplace, Emma Calved’s mobile phone number and address was given to PC Ball and asked for this to be investigated.

PC Ball (SWP 4639) was informed and shown photos of the assault and told that the theft of high valued items had not been resolved from July 2014 and there had been many other instances of malicious communication that has caused emotional distress.

A copy of this letter was given to PC Rhys Williams (SWP 5963) on page 957 and 958 of Appendix B and as per PC Rhys Williams oral testimony at trial he sent to PC Laura Murphy (GWP 1794) after the 16th May 2018.

This was a significant intrusion of into my work life that affected my work colleagues after only 3 months starting as a professor at the university. I did the right thing by reporting this immediately to South Wales Police in a documented form and disappointed by the excuse of it’s another police force matter.

8. 16th September 2015 – Phone Calls to Employer

On the 16th September 2015, Caerwyn Ash reported further offences to PC Ball (SWP 4639) at Swansea central police station.

Emma Calved had maliciously continued to contact his employer in abusive phone calls to the human resource department demanded to known Caerwyn Ash’s salary, despite Caerwyn Ash had reported the same offence the previous month.

PC Ball (SWP 4639) cautioned Emma Calved regarding this malicious communications.

This caused serious distress as it was effecting my employer, PhD students and my livelihood.

9. November 2015 – SJH Card

Emma Calved sent an abusive card to Sarah Jayne Herbert at her workplace Christchurch primary school, with a highly malicious message to cause emotional distress.

Caerwyn Ash received a phone call from Sarah Jayne Herbert, whom was very upset asking to come to her school workplace. Caerwyn Ash walked from the university to the school to find the school receptionist, headmistress and Sarah Jayne Herbert, all upset and was shown the card. Emma Calved had caused emotional distress by upsetting people connected to Caerwyn Ash.

This was formally reported to South Wales police at Swansea central police station. The digital stalking of researching someone she had never met or been introduced just to cause emotional trauma to Caerwyn Ash is beyond words. The South Wales police officers didn’t care about the trauma caused to Caerwyn Ash, Sarah Jayne Herbert and Headmistress Helen Marie Davies.

Emma Calved contacted Sarah Jayne Herbert maliciously to cause distress on Facebook even after the relationship ended.

This intrusion into Sarah Jayne Herbert’s life at her primary school workplace had a distressing effect on multiple people Sarah Jayne Herbert, school secretary, headmistress Helen Marie Davis and all to affect Caerwyn Ash life indirectly.

10. March 2016 – MasterChef

In March 2016, Emma Calved increased her campaign of malicious communication to another level with complete impunity by South Wales Police. In March 2016, Caerwyn Ash appeared on MasterChef. On the night the episode aired on the BBC, Emma Calved created 4 twitter accounts to post defamatory and libellous content tagging Caerwyn Ash and his employer.

Caerwyn Ash and Sarah Jayne Herbert watched the television episode at 33 Kilvey Terrace, and then had to helplessly see hundreds of libellous defamation posted online to deliberately cause emotional distress.

The following day was spent at university as Emma Calved contacted the other contestants and Caerwyn Ash’s university employer directly with malice to cause emotional distress to Caerwyn Ash and other contestants whose moment on national television was negatively disrupted. This was humiliating and emotionally degrading

This was reported to PC Ball (SWP 4639) at Swansea police station the following day with printed screenshots of the malicious messages. PC Ball reiterated that this was a Gwent Police issue and Emma Calved lived in Newport.

11. May 2016 – MyDiscombobulatedBrain Charity

Caerwyn Ash reported to PC Ball (SWP 4639) at Swansea central police station that Emma Calved had maliciously contacted Laura Dernie after a WalesOnline article for Laura mental health charity MyDiscombobulatedBrain was placed online. Caerwyn Ash gave his time and money for a charity pop up fundraiser.

PC Ball (SWP 4639) was given the malicious messages sent to cause distress and anxiety with defamatory and libellous content posted online. Despite PC Ball (SWP 4639) cautioned Emma Calved for the same offence the year before he was constrained but his resistance that this is a Gwent police matter and that they are an inferior police force.

Caerwyn Ash was trying to help an old friend with her charity and was psychologically tortured digitally by Emma Calved living in Newport, Gwent.

12. June 2016 – Formal Complaint of Malicious Communication by UWTSD

In June 2016, Caerwyn Ash and Cheryl Buckley representing his university employer jointly made a formal complaint of malicious communication by Emma Calved directly to Cheryl Buckley by telephone to PC Ball (SWP 4639) at Swansea police station. It was the same PC Ball (SWP 4639) who cautioned Emma Calved on the 16th September 2015 for the same offence and many others in between.

Caerwyn Ash was asked to attend Human Resources where Cheryl was angry and upset. This was not the first time Emma Calved had been abusive to Cheryl and had been reported previously to South Wales Police who was abusive after demanded to know Caerwyn Ash’s salary and Cheryl would not disclose this information. We both walked into Swansea Central police station and reported this to PC Ball (SWP 4639).

13. 1st August 2016 – Family Court Order

On the 1st August 2016, Caerwyn Ash took Emma Calved to the family court for formal contact with his children Charlotte and Marissa.

Caerwyn Ash provided evidence of safeguarding concerns to CAFCASS in the form of digital recordings of the girls being left alone in Newport Gwent aged 8 and 11.

Emma Calved reneged on the court order within 2 weeks as evidenced on Caerwyn Ash’s YouTube channel.

PC Rhys Williams was given a copy of this court order on the 16th May 2018, therefore fully aware that Emma Calved was in Contempt of the Court order on the 16th May 2018 at Morriston police Station.

14. November 2017 – Contact University Employer

The most psychologically traumatic event occurred in November 2017 when Caerwyn Ash was forced to leave his cherished position as professor following a further campaign of malicious communication by Emma Calved targeting his employer, friends, friends of friends, PhD students and family. This coincided with Sophie Carter-Ingram’s pregnancy.

On the same day Emma Calved stopped all contact with his children in spite of a formal court order in place. Emma Calved gave Caerwyn Ash’s parents the ultimatum that if they wanted to see their grandchildren they were not to have contact with their son Caerwyn Ash. This was reported to an officer at Swansea Central police station in a futile way of reporting criminal activity by Emma Calved.

Caerwyn Ash was humiliated, exhausted and mentally depleted as all attempts to prohibit Emma Calved’s criminal behaviour went unchallenged.

15. 25th November 2017 - Harassment and Stalking

The relentless malicious communication increased and Caerwyn Ash and Sophie Carter-Ingram reported 7 incidences of malicious communication and stalking to PC O’Neale (SWP 5498) and PC Thomas (SWP 5688) at Caerwyn Ash’s house on the 25th November 2017.

Clear and undisputable evidence was provided that caused enormous emotional distress to Sophie Carter-Ingram whom was pregnant. This was a clear pattern of behaviour pointed out to PC’s O’Neale (SWP 5498) and PC Thomas (SWP 5688) that spanned years involving many others and a clear pattern of illegal behaviour that had previously been reported.

These two officers did not care about the psychological damage this was causeing where we provided evidence that Emma Calved had been outside Sophie Carter-Ingram’s house in Swansea to cause distress.

15.1 Harassment and Stalking

Emma Calved manipulated and used Caerwyn Ash’s neighbours namely Gillian Morton, Kelly Morton, Lorrain Powell, Sarah Powell, and Laura Powell to have a constant update of movements of people entering Caerwyn Ash’s 33 Kilvey Terrace house whilst she was in Newport, Gwent.

There are so many examples of stalking from afar presented to south wales police officers on the 25th November 2017 and on the 16th May 2018.

This has caused considerable psychological trauma as if someone is at the door, Emma would send abusive messages asking who is at Caerwyn Ash’s House.

16. March 2018 – Malicious Message to Sophie Carter-Ingram when Pregnant

In March 2018, Emma Calved sent Sophie Carter-Ingram a highly malicious message on Facebook social media. This message caused enormous emotional distress while pregnant. This message was reported to South Wales Police. This targeted message singled out because she was pregnant caused significant distrees to SCI and Caerwyn Ash. PC Rhys Williams had this message on the 16th May 2016, and sent to this to PC Laura Murphy as his courtroom oral testimony. Neither PC Rhys Williams (SWP 5963) or PC Laura Murphy (GWP 1794) acted on this evidence.

Caerwyn Ash and Sophie Carter-Ingram was travelling back from a conference at the Royal Society of Physicians on preventing deaths in police custody and received suspicious messages from Charlotte and Marissa and jointly called Gwent police to perform a welfare check on Charlotte and Marissa aged 10 and 14.

Two female Gwent police officers attended the house in Newport to find both girls in their bedroom without their phones, following suspicious messages of false impersonation of minors. This was the actions of concerned parents for the welfare of children.

These messages were reported to PC Rhys Williams (SWP 5963) on the 16th May 2018 at Morriston police station, who sent these messages to PC Laura Murphy (GWP 1794) to investigate these offences.

Caerwyn Ash gave the South Wales police officer PC Rhys Williams …

  • 200 page dossiers on Emma Calved
  • 1001 pages of digital evidence
  • 24 folders of individual acts of malicious communication against Caerwyn Ash and others
  • Screenshots of false impersonation of minors by Emma Calved on the 12th May 2018.

Caerwyn Ash put his trust into PC Rhys Williams (SWP 5963) acting as an agent of the state in his duty to investigate this documented evidence relating to the safeguarding of two children.

19. 19th April 2019 – Arrest by PC Rhys Williams

Caerwyn Ash was arrested by PC Rhys Williams (SWP 5963) on the 19th April 2019 for an allegation of revenge pornography.

This is the allegation!

Emma Calved’s sisters husband, Benjamin Jones whom has never met Caerwyn Ash or knew of his existence until reading the unused disclosure, saw a pornographic video when living in Glasgow and recognised Emma Calved without any facial features and from Caerwyn Ash’s genitals. This allegation is as frivolous, fictitious and as ridiculous as it sounds.

[Perverting the Course of Justice]

They informed Emma Calved in Newport and Emma Calved informed the police on the same day Caerwyn Ash and Sophie Carter-Ingram requested a welfare check on Charlotte and Marissa by Gwent police (17).

PC Rhys Williams (SWP 5963) knew from the information given to him on the 16th May 2018 and the Police National Computer (PNC), with the knowledge that Emma Calved was still in possession of the items stolen including personal laptop and hardrives on the 27th July 2014, and her propensity to be dishonest.

20. 19th April 2019 – Interview

Caerwyn Ash was interviewed by PC Robert Crabtree (SWP 5749) who was told that Emma Calved assaulted Caerwyn Ash and Stole a million euros of equipment two days after the assault to blackmail and that this was reported to PC Whomes (SWP 5437) that day and that none of the items have been recovered including the Toshiba laptop and hard drives.

PC Robert Crabtree (SWP 5749) informed PC Rhys Williams (SWP 5963) that among the items taken were propriety information owned by Detention Metrics Ltd and the thesis and Data for Rebecca Whittall’s PhD recorded in the police logs [page 662].

21. Devices Seized on the 12th April 2019

Caerwyn Ash made 12 formal requests to PC Rhys Williams (SWP 5963) and Martin Richards (SWP 57076) for the return of these devices not owned by Caerwyn Ash since their seizure [pages x].

The refusal to return a hard drive belonging to a PhD student has caused considerable distress and anxiety as the PhD student has been forced to abandon their PhD studies.

The refusal to return a 32Gb pen drive that PC Robert Crabtree (SWP 5749) requested the return on the same day it was seized in the police logs containing the information relating to detention Metrics Ltd [page 662].

21a Detention Metrics Ltd

Caerwyn Ash spent the first quarter of 2017, as a professor working on a report for the Home Office to prevent deaths in police custody. Caerwyn Ash created a business called Detention Metrics Ltd in 2018.

In October 2018, a working prototype of Detention Metric Ltd was tested at the police federation conference in Coventry. The Daily Mail article on this project [page 1039-1043]. In March 2019, £2.4 million of funding was in place to launch this device into service in Custody suites in the UK.

On the 19th April 2019, PC Rhys Williams seized the devices owned by Detention Metrics Ltd, Boxican Ltd, Asthma Dual ltd, Powered Sleep ltd and SmartHoney ltd and have refused to return them to hide the fact that 11 months previously he was the reporting officer on a plethora of evidence on the same person making a false allegation and failed in his duty to investigate.

22. 2019 - BBC Interview

In 2019, South Wales police force and Gwent police force gave Emma Calved complete impunity to conduct a dishonest interview with Victoria Derbyshire at the BBC in full knowledge that Emma Calved was still in possession of the laptop and hard drives stolen on the 27th July 2014, reported to PC Whomes (SWP 5437) with threatening messages to destroy the items if Caerwyn Ash reported the assault on the 25th July 2014.

Not only was this a criminal offence [Perverting the Cause of Justice] it has caused considerable psychological trauma.

23. 31st October 2021 - Disclosing Confidential Information

Martin Richards (SWP 57076) and Lyndsay Howe (SWP  ) disclosed confidential and personal information to Emma Calved in full knowledge that she would weaponise the information for criminal purposes. [Data Protection Act, (2018), Section 132].

Martin Richards (SWP 57076) and Lyndsay Howe (SWP 5534) disclosed to Caerwyn Ash’s business partners and staff the allegations of revenge pornography and illegal images when they met at their restaurant to arrange an interview inflicting lasting psychological and inflicting financial damage.

Caerwyn Ash met Martin Richards and Lyndsay Howe at Swansea central police station on the evening of 31st October 2021.

They insisted that an interview must be completed the following day, despite resisting that it would take a few days for the legal team in London to arrange travel.

Lyndsay Howe gave Caerwyn Ash the business card of India Beavan of Evan, Hayes and Burnell and that her services had been arranged for an interview the following day.

The following day the same day as the interview Caerwyn Ash’s business partner committed suicide following contact with Lyndsay Howe.

24. 1st November 2021 – Voluntary Interview

Caerwyn Ash met India Bevan and emailed a prepared statement at 10am on the 1st November 2021. This prepared statement named 14 people who had access to the computers including Trevor James [pages X].

In the interview they were told those hours before Caerwyn Ash’s Business Partner had died from suicide after police interaction at his restaurant.

On the 2nd November 2021, Caerwyn Ash instructed India Bevan to send the prepared statement to the police. It is unclear that she did or did not. A witness summons was submitted and when she refused to attend court or provide a statement to the police, the trial judge did not issue a bench warranty.

25. March 2022 – Aldi

In March 2022, Caerwyn Ash was shopping at Aldi, Parc Tawe when he crossed paths with Martin Richards (SWP 57076) and Kelly Hurley (SWP 5678). Martin said the paperwork is with the CPS, when Caerwyn Ash asked if Trevor James or Emma Calved has been investigated following India Beavan input. Martin Richards (SWP 57076) said he couldn’t discuss the case any further and we continued our shopping separately.

26. September 2022 – Police informed Emma Calved of Court Date but not the defendant Caerwyn Ash

Caerwyn Ash discovered the court date after being contacted by old friends many not spoken to in years. Emma Calved directly contacted dozens of people to influence and manipulate their opinion by direct messaging and in the public domain through Emma Calved’s multiple social media accounts, after being disclosed by South Wales Police officers before informing Caerwyn Ash.

Two days later Caerwyn Ash received an email from Martin Richards (SWP 57076). Their paths crossed minutes later before Caerwyn Ash had read the email, I walked with Martin Richards (SWP 57076) to get paperwork from Swansea police station.

During walking and talking Caerwyn Ash discovered that either India Beavan had not transferred documentation with critical information, which was given digitally and as a hardcopy or that Swansea police failed to use the information and send to the Crown Prosecution Service. Caerwyn Ash clearly explained that India Beavan had been emailed a prepared statement and given vital information to be passed to South Wales Police the day after the interview.
